SEE WHO SCORED A "5" ON AN AP TEST IN 2019 We're proud of the exemplary, college-level achievement of top high school students across the District. During the first half of August, high school administrators were out visiting teens who scored a "5" on an advanced placement test to congratulate them and place a celebratory sign on their lawn. AP Excellence is really a family affair, so we asked mom, dad, siblings & grands to join us for a photo op if available. We've got a growing list of photos from our two high schools (21 to date), and a poster that lists all of this year's honorees. If your teen received a sign, please be sure to tag us on any photos you post. And don't forget to email a copy to your high school administrators who are collecting the images for a display. #AppoSchools #AppoHigh #MHSCAVSPride #eduDE #netDE #DEDeptofEd
Farm To Fork Dinner on August 22 – Only 25 tickets remain, get yours now!

Farm To Fork Dinner on August 22 – Only 25 tickets remain, get yours now! Farm to Fork is the signature fundraising event of the Foundation for Appoquinimink Schools. A four-course meal has been designed around locally-sourced, fresh ingredients made possible by farm-friendly sponsors like Powers Farm, L&L Farms, Emerson Farms, Filasky's Farm, Coleman Organic, Clay Farms, Cowgirl's Creamery, Cake Sisters, Wicks Farm's, and Deer Crossing Farms. Chef Tony and the creative team from Immediato's Catering is in charge of the menu, so you know it’s going to be great! Supporters will dine under the stars at the Town of Whitehall, just a few short steps from Appoquinimink's newest school Lorewood Grove Elementary. (Guests will have an opportunity to take a personal tour of the school with Superintendent Matt Burrows and Founding Principal Melisa Stilwell.) Proceeds from the evening support student scholarships, teacher mini-grants, and educational initiatives that benefit ALL students, so let's help them sell out! Help our local Seniors prep their famous pies!

Help our local Seniors prep their famous pies! One of Middletown's signature events, the Olde-Tyme Peach Festival, is happening Saturday, August 17, 2019. The Senior Center is celebrated for the peach pies they donate. But did you know that they prep and cook them in the culinary kitchen at Middletown High? They'll be back at MHS on August 14-15 from 9:00 am until 2:30 pm to get a big batch ready. Enthusiastic volunteers are needed to peel the fresh peaches for them. (Who knows? They might even share the recipe!) Those interested in volunteering should contact MOT Senior Center Director Cecelia "Ceil" Rozumalski at 302-378-4756. Once confirmed, report to Room 5036 at the High School. For your guide to the Fair, visit the Historical Society's website, (Middletown High Address: 120 Silver Lake Road, Middletown, DE 19709)
