School Locator Feature
A student's street address determines the schools that s/he will attend, unless that student has been accepted for enrollment through the School Choice process.  

In the Appoquinimink School District, your Feeder Pattern will include assignments to an: Early Childhood Center (Grade K), Elementary School (Grades 1-5), Middle School (Grades 6-8), and High School (Grades 9-12).

Growth will bring change
Appoquinimink is proud to be one of Delaware's fastest-growing school districts. A 2016 referendum will result in the construction of three new schools, and two existing buildings will be undergoing renovation/expansion. When that happens, feeder patterns will be revised to reflect these changes. A volunteer Feeder Pattern Committee has already begun meeting to look at the revision of attendance zones. Parents, staff and members of the public will be informed and involved well in advance of any changes.

DISCLAIMER:
School District boundaries were established long before the present housing boom. So it is possible for a large, new development to “straddle” two different school districts. (An example would be the community of Bayberry. Addresses in the front of the development are served by the Appoquinimink School District. Homes in the back of the community are part of the Colonial School District.)
